Topography of a Floor is inspired by the practice of drawing as an investigation of site. The marks accentuated here are a result of direct engagement with the floorboards and record gestures, blemishes and streaks - drawings already created by human encounters.  They map the past and present of this specific site, while questioning predictions for the future. By activating the line it literally draws the viewer into its narrative
