The Neighborhood Developers - 1005 Broadway
Art Consultant to facilitate community engagement and oversee art commissions for new construction
January - June 2023 facilitated workshops for over 90 people ages 6 - 102 years to gather community input to inform a public art commission; developed RFQ + RFP; identified a selection committee to select final artist; served as artist liaison during installation and execution
City of Chelsea
Wisdom of Our Elders - a project with the Chelsea Senior Center honoring Elders through narrative, portraits and ‘Wisdom’ Cards. Project launch in late Fall 2024. Funded by Boston Community Foundation + Chelsea Cultural Council
Community puppet + mask-making workshops for Día de los Muertos Festival, 2022. Hired and trained local young people as artivists. Created a giant calavera puppet with Chelsea Senior Center.
Boston Triennial (formerly Now + There)
Lot Lab Developed and facilitated nautical flag-making workshops with Boys and Girls Club of Charlestown for public art installation. WBUR Press
Joy Parade Developed and facilitated flag-making workshops for city-wide parade inspired by Augment, an installation by Nick Cave.
Upcycling UNLESS : Seeking More Sustainable Art & Consumerism - series of tote bag making workshops at the Prudential Center in response to Stephanie Cardon’s public art installation. Read article about the motivation to create the project here.
